What is Humic
Alongside our envirolizer® is a Humic Substance (HS) which represents the organic material that is mainly widespread in nature.
Organic chemicals known as humic substances (HS) are crucial parts of humus, the main organic component of soil, peat, and coal (and also a constituent of many upland streams, dystrophic lakes, and ocean water). A significant portion of the 19th and 20th centuries’ understanding of humic substances was framed by the acid-base theory, which classified humic acids (HA) as organic acids and their conjugate bases, humates, as significant constituents of organic matter. According to this point of view, fulvic acids (FA) are organic acids that remain soluble when a strong-base extract is acidified, whereas humic acids (HA) are organic compounds recovered from soil that coagulate (form small solid pieces) when a strong-base extract is acidified.
The most prevalent organic material in nature is represented by humic substances (HS). By enhancing soil fertility and structure, as well as by affecting nutrient uptake and root architecture, HS have advantageous impacts on plant physiology. Only a portion of the biochemical and molecular mechanisms behind these occurrences is understood. Although a “auxin-like” activity of humic compounds has been hypothesised and HS have been confirmed to contain auxin, there is only patchy evidence to support this claim.
Why use Humic
Numerous research have demonstrated that HS not only stimulates the germination of different crop species but also improves root, leaf, and shoot growth. The interplay between HS and physiological and metabolic processes is the explanation for these advantageous benefits. The addition of HS appears to modulate the systems involved in promoting plant development by stimulating nutrient absorption and cell permeability.
The direct and indirect effects of these substances are difficult to separate from one another. In reality, some of their beneficial benefits may be attributed to an overall increase in soil fertility, which increases the availability of nutrients to plants. While in other instances, HS appears to have a favourable impact on the metabolic and signalling pathways involved in the development of the plant by directly interacting with certain physiological targets. Understanding HS biological activity and the molecular processes by which they carry out their jobs is thus turning into a crucial ecological undertaking and a useful tool for tackling environmental issues.
Probiotic agent for the preparation of high-quality compost
Envirolizer’s AgHumus is a live probiotic agent for enlivening the substrate, promoting composting and improving soil composition. It is made through a natural fermentation process using beneficial microorganisms. AgHumus promotes the biological activity of the soil or substrate, which in turn improves the quality of the soil or substrate. AgHumus can also be used in deep barns to reduce the amount of litter and to sanitize it. The obtained substrate is a high-quality fertilizer for the soil.
Benefits of AgHumus
- Promotes composting of biological waste products
- Prevents unpleasant composting smells
- Prevents the spread of pathogenic microorganisms
- Improves the structure and microflora of the substrate and soil
- Increases the content of nutrients absorbed by plants in the substrate (including promoting biological N fixation)
- In the deep barn, the amount of litter is reduced to 2x
- Allowed to be used in organic farming (Regulation No. 889/2008; 3.5.)
- The product is 100% safe for humans, animals and plants
AgHumus use
To activate the action of microorganisms, the product must be diluted with water . We recommend using sprayers. Pour the desired amount of AgHumus into a clean spray bottle and dilute according to the instructions. Close the cap of the original bottle of AgHumus tightly to maintain the effectiveness of the product. The diluted product should be used within a maximum of 3-4 days. As a result of the fermentation process of AgHumus , deposits may appear, which is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the effectiveness and quality of the product.
Storage – at a temperature of 5º – 40º C and protect from direct sunlight.
Use of AgHumus:
Dose: 1-3 L of AgHumus /1m 3 of substrate.
In deep sheds – 1 L /250 m 2 .
Garden compost – 1:100-500 – Soak the compost with the solution. DO NOT MIX. Cover for better results. Use once a month or as needed.
Food waste compost – 1:500 – Spray the compost with the solution before and after mixing.
Soil substrate – 1:500-1000 – Spray the substrate. Preferably stir.
Deep sheds – 1:10 – Soak the litter with the solution at least once a month.
1:100 = 100ml : 10 l of water
Before use, dilute with lukewarm non-chlorinated water as indicated in the table (depending on the humidity of the substrate, excessive moisture in the substrate is not desirable).
